These stay in better than others. The sound quality is great, lots of bass and good clarity. Different from "normal" earphones, these create an airtight seal with your ear canal. As such, you hear hardly any surrounding noise. This may be dangerous in traffic, or you can use them as a low-cost & lightweight alternative to noise-cancelling phones. Microphone quality is OK, not great. Call Sound Not Good (14 August 2010)I purchased this as an alternative to the wireless headset that came with my BlackBerry Storm. The price was good but people told me that when I was on a call with them it sounded like I was speaking to them from in a tunnel. With the dual head pieces you couldn't hear yourself speaking and this doesn't allow you to regulate the volume of your voice. I've found that the wireless mono headset 3.5mm is a much better selection and it is available on Amazon. well built, but awful microphone during calls (10 August 2010)I had to stop using them for phone calls because the microphone was so bad. When I used them, people complained that I sounded awful as if I was on a speakerphone with a lot of background noise. The sound quality was actually excellent. But, all outside noise was blocked. This could be dangerous while jogging or walking. Very good sound (12 July 2010)I was somewhat surprised the RIM included a pair of these earphones with the phone since my old earphones did not fit. At first I was not happy with the fit because they kept falling out of my ears (similar to other complaints here), but then I switched to the small size ear pieces (they come with 3 sizes) and they fit perfectly and stay in until I take them out. I am an average size man and never thought I had small ears, so I was surprised that the smallest ear pieces fit best. I think that one of the problems people may be having is either not trying the smaller ear pieces or because even the smallest are still too large. I think that the sound is excellent. While I have not tried a very expensive set (Bose) I have used a lot of sets from various electronics and sets I have purchased independently. These are by far the best pair of earphones I have used in terms of sound quality and comfort. The rubber earpiece really cuts down on outside noise so I wouldn't use them while driving or if you need to hear other things. But if you want to simply listen to music or talk on the phone, these are great. They have a control button that you can press to mute the sound. It also ends the call if you are talking on the phone (and once the call is over the music starts back up).
