(10 March 2010)This clip-on light is a great accessory for my new Kindle2, and it certainly is useful for reading in bed at night without disturbing your partner. I like the quality of the light, and the battery life is very good. My only quibble is the relative size of the part that clips onto the Kindle. I think it could be streamlined quite a bit, making it fit more comfortably between my Kindle cover and the Kindle itself. I also wonder whether a redesign might be in order to make it easier to store. I always worry that bending the twisty part may cause it to break. Nevertheless, this is a very useful and good quality product, and I'm glad I have it. too much money for what you get (10 March 2010)thought this light would help solve the problem of having a light on, but this light was totally distracting from my kindle, tried to move it all around and i still got a glare on my screen Not the greatest for travel (10 March 2010)I ordered this, the first one woould not work correctly, replacement was easy, thanks Anmazon. My only beef is that if you put this in a briefcase or backpack, the switch gets bumped and it turns on, so your batteries are always dead. Not so good.... reading light (08 March 2010)I love that it has two settings. Sometimes you don't want the light super bright. Hooks on well to my Kindle. I'm sure I'll get alot of from it. Great Light, Highly Recommended (08 March 2010)The light is bright enough to read in a completely darkened room. It has two settings -- you can have only one LED on or both. I generally use both, but it may be too bright for some, in which case 1 LED would work nicely. It will sometimes glare off of the Kindle's screen, but it is possible to adjust it to an angle that both lights the device and does not glare, which just takes a little practice. My only complaint is that the clip is somewhat bulky since the batteries go into it, but this is really a minor issue. I can still put my Kindle down on a flat surface with the light attached and read from it comfortably. |
