| | Customer Reviews: Great basic antenna (20 July 2010)This basic antenna has been working really well in my apartment located east of downtown LA. The VHF picks up all channels 2-13 crystal clear. The UHF loop picks up many channels from 18 to 63 very clear. I place the antenna near a window at an angle not blocked by apartment buildings to improve signal strength, and use it with a digital converter box on an old analog Sony TV. I would have rated 5 but because of the difficulty I had to insert the UHF loop into the base, I decided to rate it 4. I use a hard object to pound the UHF loop into the base because the insert holes are a bit too small; the workmanship on this product could use some improvement. However, the problem didn't affect the quality of the signal. Piece of wire works better (20 July 2010)Bought this as an FM antennae. The piece of wire included FM antennae that came with the stereo, is better then this unit. Only $12, but into the bin it goes. a simple atenna. (10 July 2010)This is good buy, I brought with an HD converter box. Easy set up works well. Finally! (27 June 2010)I do not have cable, and since the switch to digital, I have constantly had to move antennas around, because I could never get the stations to cooperate. I wish I had this antenna a long time ago, it is perfect, and works great in my apartment. Since I hooked it up, I have been nothing but impressed, I now have all the channels, and I have not had to move the antenna since setup. This has turned out to be a great bargain, and an excellent purchase. Plenty good for my purposes (27 June 2010)The internal antenna of my TV only picked up 5 or 6 channels, depending on the weather outside. At the beginning of the USA/Ghana World Cup Game today, I wasn't picking up ABC. I ran to Best Buy, picked this antenna up, and was watching the game 5 minutes after I got home. It was super easy to connect and it's small enough to sit discreetly behind my TV. For comparison purposes, I live in a large to mid sized city. I now get 40 channels. Glad I dropped satellite. This is great! |
